Mister Blackcat is a two-piece Americana outfit based in St. Louis, MO playing a wide-ranging set of classic songs from the traditions of pre-war folk and blues, country, rock & roll, bluegrass, and more. Singer and blues harpist Steve Gleeson’s vocals readily shift from a country croon to a bluesy howl while fingerpicking, country strumming, or playing lightning fast bluegrass runs on the guitar and banjo. Upright bassist and sometimes rhythm guitarist Keith Ford brings a percussive and jazzy sensibility to round out their timeless sound.
